چکیده
Background & Objective: Hepatitis E Virus (HEV) infection may be common in Human Immunodeficiency (HIV-1) patients and lead to chronic as well cirrhosis. We intended determine the incidence of HEV among HIV-1 comparison individuals without infection. Methods: In our cross-sectional study, 87 HIV-1-positive were compared 93 healthy Kerman, Iran. Plasma peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) obtained from all participants. Plasmas evaluated for IgM IgG using ELISA kit. Then, reverse transcriptase-nested polymerase chain reaction (RT-nested PCR) was used RNA extractions PBMCs check presence RNA.Results: Among subjects examined 61 (70.1%) 71 (77.4%) out with male, respectively. The average ages control group 40.2 years 39.9 years, No discernible differences existed between two groups based on seropositivity against HEV. However, HEV-RNA found 8% 1.1% HIV-1-negative (P=0.03). There also an association genome anti-HEV anti-HCV antibodies (P=0.02 P=0.014, respectively). Conclusion: more develop a immunocompromised individuals. Here, we suggest molecular-based diagnostic tests, including RT-PCR assays, should performed unknown impaired liver function tests.
